Since 2007, Baton Rouge, Louisiana doom metal band Thou has put out 5 full lengths, 9 split 7”s and been on countless compulations albums, including an upcoming Nirvana In Utero tribute album. Their influence of 90’s grunge rock mixed with raw sludge metal and a complete DIY attitude had me interested in seeing them live and getting in their heads. After learning that Thou had shook hands on never playing Atlanta again, I felt lucky that the fellas gave this city another chance. Thou played at Wonderroot art space on Thursday, August 25th.
