Come for the nostalgia; stay for the heartfelt new tunes that will quickly blossom into your favorite songs. Toad the Wet Sprocket’s distinctive and timeless style with intricately layered guitars, soaring vocals in 3-part harmony, and down-to-earth lyrics showcases the vast range of human emotion. If you enjoyed their hits from the ‘90s like Walk on the Ocean, Fall Down, and All I Want, you’ll appreciate their live show as a sunny road trip down memory lane. What may surprise you are all the songs you’ve never heard on mainstream radio (since Toad has gone indie) that are every bit as powerful and cathartic as the ones you already love.
This upcoming show in Charlotte at Knight Theatre on October 1 is in support of their recently released retrospective album All You Want (Bonus Edition), featuring re-recorded (and some re-interpreted) selections from their 30+ year musical catalog. Check out their YouTube playlist of videos they’ve made for these songs over the years if you want a taste of what’s to come.
As awesome as their albums are, the live show is a whole other level. To see these guys up on stage, singing and playing in perfect harmony, after all this time, is sure to bring a smile to your face, if not a tear to the eye. While their tour may be called the All You Want Tour, it’s a misnomer: a Toad show always leaves you wanting more!
