Taylor Swift Breaking More Than Music Records

Let today November 15th, 2022 never be forgotten as today, Taylor Swift quite literally broke Ticket giant Ticketmaster’s website due to unprecedented demand for her The Eras Tour 2023 Presale. The issues began bright and early around 8:30 AM est when Swifties logged on early for the tour’s Verified Fan ticket presale.

Verified Fan is Ticketmaster and many artists attempt to fight ticket scalping and get tickets into the hands of fans. Fans received their confirmation yesterday afternoon along with a link and a ticket code then at 10 am this morning they were supposed to have their shot at tickets but this didn’t go as planned.

Around 9:30 fans started reporting being kicked out of the waiting room and Ticketmaster quickly acknowledged the unprecedented demand for Swift’s tickets citing “Millions of people rushed the website”. Two Shutter 16 Staffers also tried for hours to get tickets with no luck thus far.

As of 2:30 pm est Ticketmaster announced the tours’ Capital One Presale would be moved to November 16th at 2 pm est.

It’s important to remember in moments like this you can not blame Taylor or her team as they have almost 3 shows set up in every major city, there’s just no way to control this kind of demand with these kinds of fan numbers. Rest assured Taylor, her team and Ticketmaster are doing everything possible to get sorted.
