Stonewood Blues Rocking Out Public House At The Markets In Pennsylvania

Dancing To The Ring Of Fire

By: Aryzona Kurtz

A night full of country blues and catchy tunes had a full house taking it out on the dance floor Saturday night. Stonewood’s three-hour-long set consisted of songs from some of the best, well-known country/pop-soul artists and they performed them like no other. Kicking it off with Johnny Cash’s classic, “Ring Of Fire” had fans stomping their feet and whirling around. Within the first 30 seconds of this set a crowd started to rise up out of their seats and make their way as close to the music as possible. The large open space surrounding the stage quickly became compact and the room got warm. The band’s excellent performance on these songs kept the audience on their feet.

The Public House offered a delicious selection of well-portioned meals to enjoy and be served as you’re having a great time rocking with the members of Stonewood. With about 30 tables, a wrap-around bar, and a kitchen/staff area, there was even still room to move around to the sound of music fitting about 30 additional people. There were beautiful string lights draping from the ceiling panels, along with glowing purple lights wrapping underneath the bar counter. This venue had a beautiful setup and made for a great space to get together with friends and enjoy some country/rock favorites.

The hard-rocking female-fronted band played many great hits from the night including Journey, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Joan Jett, Luke Bryan, and many more. The similarity between Shannon’s vocals during their cover of “Before He Cheats” was almost identical. The energy was held strong and high throughout all 3 hours of their performance and the stage presence was strong.

After playing the first half of their set, they announced and introduced a special guest for the night, Faith Noel. Faith Noel took the first few minutes to talk about herself as an artist and her upcoming events. Faith mentioned that she was hosting a fundraising event to help achieve her dreams of making it to Nashville, TN. At only 18  years old and just finishing high school early, Faith has a beautiful chord progression when playing the guitar and an impressive vocal range. She brought a confident, exciting presence to the stage while performing “The Good Ones” by Gabby Barrett. Followed by that, she played an original single of hers called “Believe”. Her set was only about 15 minutes long, but her audience quickly fell in love with her act.
