New to the Airwaves (Oct 11)

Happy Music Day! This week is another HUGE one. P-Diddy is rotting in a jail cell, 50 cent just sold the rights to the tell all book about what he knows. Foo Fighters have cancelled shows on the tail end of the affair and new lovechild scandal. Unfortunately, most of the Southeast has been severely affected by Hurricane Helene. Shutter 16’s headquarters is located in the midst of the chaos in Charlotte, NC. Many of our family and friends have been impacted. We have lost loved ones in the storm and know many others that are missing. If you are able to help in any way, we encourage you to contact the Red Cross or any local agency you find suitable. We will get through this and rebuild, but we can only do so with the help of our music community!

Back to this week in music….all the Bigs are putting out an album in the same week, oh me, oh my! My personal calendar is a conglomerate of nearly every genre of music, festival, and comedy special that a decade ago I would have dreamed would be my life. Welcome to the end of another fun, sweaty, exhausting, and amazing OUTDOOR CONCERT SEASON. The outdoor shows are dehydrating us, sunburns turn to tan, and we are lost on nights we aren’t in a photopit. Onto the vampire hours and indoor shelters.

Tiny moments I get to hear new music that gets my heart revving, this week’s contenders were hard to narrow down, but a few are:

Some on this playlist below:

New albums mean new tours or extended tours *fingers crossed*. Let’s see which band has something new for you this week?

What album are you most looking forward to? Comment below!

To wrap up this week, we’ve got some much-anticipated arrivals that have us tapping our toes, crossing our arms, and screeching, “Finally!” We’re sure you can see which ones we think you should grab and which ones we think may deserve a pass (cough). Feel free to explore at your own risk and share your choices with us!
