Mason Hill Steps Out of the Shadows and Into the Limelight with “Against The Wall”
Take a journey forward in time with me. Imagine the year is 2027, a world where anything seems possible. The COVID-19 pandemic is over and the world bounced back as never before, ushering in a new Golden Age. History books will refer to it as the new “Roaring Twenties” with music and the arts exploding across the globe at levels of creativity unseen or heard since the Renaissance. For fans of rock and roll, it is a great time to be alive as a resurgence of rock music takes over the hearts and minds of the next generation and it is indeed a beautiful thing. A handful of bands from every corner of our world will lead this charge, topping the charts, selling out stadiums, and headlining giant music festivals that will make even Woodstock seem small. . Sitting at the top of this glorious pack of talent shall be a UK rock band called Mason Hill.
You see, my friends, Mason Hill is about to break out and in a very big way. Their latest release Against The Wall has already garnered the band a spot in the Top 20 UK national album chart and a number one in the UK rock album chart. After listening to the album, it’s easy to see why . Mason Hill is ripe beyond their years, possessing a skill set that normally takes a lifetime to develop with top-notch songwriting and a sound that runs the gamut from in your face, kick-ass rock and roll to a poignant urgency that is capable of melting even the coldest of hearts. Don’t miss their third single from the record, “D.N.A.,” a hard-driving rocker that will have you on your feet.
Getting started early, guitarist James Bird and lead vocalist Scott Taylor met at the age of fourteen. Bird was already an accomplished musician, sharing the stage with guitar legend Zakk Wylde, touring the UK, and amassing endorsements. The two combined to form what would become Mason Hill with the additions of Marc Montgomery on guitar, Matthew Ward on bass, and Craig McFetridge on drums. Fast forward a few years and Mason Hill is well on the way to becoming a household name. With the music industry in a state of upheaval the last year, the band forged ahead, working hard to get the word out and maximize their potential. Along with 7Hz Productions, a campaign began to market the band in unique ways with streams, virtual events, and promotions. All that hard work has definitely paid off as the band made the most of their time, giving the world a rock album worthy of its accolades.
Not only is the band hard-working, but they are courageous as well. Just a few weeks ago, Mason Hill released their version of the Foo Fighters “Best of You.” It takes a lot of guts to take on a song from a band that has been such a huge influence on them as well as a lot of talent to make it their own and the band pulled it off like a charm.
