Exclusive Artist Interview: Michigander
Indie Rock Artist Chats About Latest EP It Will Never Be The Same
This has been a busy spring for Michigan native and indie rock artist Jason Singer, aka, Michigander. With the release of his latest EP, It Will Never Be The Same, Michigander is taking the music world by storm combining dreamy melodies with infectious pop riffs and the result is absolutely amazing. In addition to the new music, Michigander is out on the road with a cross-country tour in support of the new record.
Last fall, we were excited to see Michigander perform in Charlotte and were saddened to get the news that he had to cancel his tour dates due to a leg injury. While filming the music video for “Superglue,” Jason took a fall and suffered a horrible leg break. I am happy to report that he is recovered and doing well and has taken the old saying “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade” to heart by redoing the music video back at the scene of the crime so to speak including the video footage of the day of the accident.
Shutter 16 had the opportunity to catch up with Jason and catch up on things including the newest EP and the day he broke his leg. You can watch our interview in full below.
