The 5 guy metal group born during the COVID-19 shutdown who keep busy that’s for sure. Are you into the heavy stuff? The really heavy stuff? Koluna might just be right up your alley.
Pulling inspiration from The Acacia Strain, Gojira, and Meshuggah to name a few bands, Koluna plays all around the DMV area and you’re guaranteed to pull a metal stank face and bang your head if you find yourself in the audience for one of their gigs.
Besides being musically gifted, these dudes are super fan-friendly and easy to talk to. Guitarist Chris Jenkins is always out and about chatting with other artists and people in the crowd. I got a chance to round up the men of Koluna at a local show and ask them a few things I wanted to know a little more about.
