Tattoo Artist Kat Von D Chats About Her Latest Endeavor- Children’s Book Author

Most of the world is familiar with Kat Von D as an accomplished tattoo artist due to her hit reality, television series L.A. Ink, but there is much more to Kat beyond the ink. In fact, Kat is a woman who wears many different hats. The talented artist is also a successful entrepreneur, critically acclaimed recording artist, Vegan fashion designer, and New York Times best-selling author. But it is her most important role, that of being a mom, that brings her to her latest venture as a children’s book author.

Inspired by her son Leafar and his imagination, Kat has recently released her very first children’s book, Leafar and the Magical Treasure Chest. The book is a charming tale full of two things that children absolutely love, animals and pretending. Each time Leafar reaches into the magical chest, he turns into a different animal and learns to interact with other animals whether he is flying with bats in the sky or searching for webs as a spider. The story is told through beautiful illustrations as Kat enlisted the help of iconic fine art painter Kevin Llewellyn. It even comes with a page of temporary tattoos for your child to use and really live the adventure. Leafar and the Magical Treasure Chest is both heartwarming and visually stunning and a perfect addition to your family’s bookshelf.
