Highway Desperado Keeps Jason Aldean at the Top of His Game
Hot New Album Comes on the Heels of Sold-Out Summer Tour
Country music megastar Jason Aldean recently released his latest and highly anticipated 11th studio album Highway Desperado. With 28 number-one singles, 20 million albums sold, and over 17 billion streams, Aldean has a proven track record for success. He also holds the honor of being the reigning ACM Artist of the Decade.
Earlier this summer, Aldean found himself in the middle of a controversy surrounding his number one single “Try That In a Small Town” and its accompanying music video which was removed from rotation on CMT and featured footage from BLM protests. The questionable footage was removed from the music video but the contention continued for Aldean who defended the song wholeheartedly.
Despite the debate over the song, Aldean hit the road for a 40-city sold-out Highway Desperado Tour that brought out fans in droves and a show of support. The tour included a stop in Charlotte, NC and I can tell you that Aldean put on one hell of a show garnering huge cheers from the crowd. Musically and vocally, his performance was spot-on. Aldean showed a lot of respect for America and our military men and women at a time in our country’s history where displays of patriotism are no longer the acceptable norm and it was honestly refreshing to see. He even took some time to talk about all the hubbub about “Try That In A Small Town” and his thoughts and views about the public and the media’s perception of the song. It was a fantastic show and after seeing him perform, it was easy to understand why his music resonates with so many and why his fanbase is so strong.
The new album should prove a continued success for Aldean with 14 songs that speak to the hearts and minds of his fans. Stand-out tracks include the title track, “Try That In A Small Town,” and “Let Your Boys Be Country.”

Howdy… I’m a retired professor and song writer in Texas. I have a demo of a song “Why’d We Have to Wait So Long for Lainey” at https://farm.fm/whyd-we-have-to-wait-so-long-for-lainey/ Would you have a listen and let me know what you think. If possbile post something about it? Or share it with your crew? Thanks, Alan PS: A link would be GREAT; I’m trying to rank on goggle for Lainey Wilson and well its slow… 🙂
