Gather Round, Sick Things! The Hour Is Almost Upon Us
Alice Cooper Is Set To Shock and Rock the Queen City Next Week and He’s Bringing The Spaceman Himself, Ace Frehley, Along for the Ride!
School may already be back in session but that’s not going to stop the famed “School’s Out” shock-rocker Alice Cooper from bringing his rock and roll theater to Charlotte. In what is sure to be “the” rock concert of the season, Alice is heading to the Charlotte Metro Credit Union Ampitheatre next Thursday with a rock show like no other.
An Alice Cooper show is like no other and any rock fan must experience it at least once in a lifetime because it is definitely something you will never forget. Not only is Cooper a gifted and talented rocker, but he is also a showman extraordinaire, and witnessing his live act is hard rock theater at its best. His band is comprised of some of the most talented musicians in rock and roll with the blistering guitars of Nita Strauss being a stand-out. Fresh off the heels of his latest album, Detroit Stories, Alice has never sounded better.
What can you expect from the show? Well, expect the unexpected because you never know what new tricks Alice may have up his sleeve. Past tours have featured a guillotine with a beheading of Alice himself, a giant Frankenstein, and lots of horror-related props. In fact, I would say you can expect everything except the kitchen sink but I’ve been to an Alice show before and I really wouldn’t rule anything out.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a rock show without hearing all Cooper’s fantastic music being performed live and in person. I’m sure we’ll get all the hits we know and love and hopefully a few new songs from Detroit Stories. Not to mention, it’s the 35th anniversary of the Constrictor album so we may get a few gems thrown into the set as well. Are you convinced yet? But wait, there’s still more.
To sweeten this already delicious deal, Alice is bringing KISS co-founder and the original Spaceman himself, Ace Frehley with him. Not one, but two rock legends and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees in one package? Holy Rock and Roll Batman! This is going to be epic. Frehley is such an amazing guitarist and so underrated by a lot of people. His set will be full of out-of-this-world songs featuring some KISS songs, beloved covers from his Origins Vol. 2 album, and should have us all back in the “New York Groove.”
Alice and Ace in one place! This is truly a rock fan’s dream tour. Come on all you “Billion Dollar Babies.” Don’t wait, get your tickets today because if you miss this one there’s “No More Mr. Nice Guy” for you!
