Preview: James Bay – Electric Light Tour
Electric Light Tour
Back in February of 2018, James Bay released his first single from his sophomore album titled ‘Electric Light’. A singer from the UK, Bay introduced the world to a song called “Wild Love” to prepare them for the upcoming album in May of 2018. With the album releasing in May and a tour announced not long after, there soon came news nobody was expecting. Bay took to Twitter to break the news that his tour would be pushed back to 2019, and for awhile there was much uncertainty as to why. In the latter half of 2018, we learned it was not for any bad reasons but instead, plenty of great reasons.
Bay mentioned in an interview with Forbes Magazine that his reason for postponing was to give himself time after finishing his album to continue writing and creating. It wasn’t just creating that he was up to though, he also jumped on tour with the likes of Ed Sheeran and The Rolling Stones for a short time. Not a bad reason to delay a tour if you ask us. Proving that he’s been working on new music and collaborations he’s been active on social media and just released a new single along with singer-songwriter Julia Michaels which is bound to be a hit titled “Peer Pressure”.
With all of this in mind, we’re pretty confident you can count on hearing some new that’s not on an album during this tour. Along with that, you can look forward to hearing one of the many hits from his debut album ‘Chaos in the Calm’. It was an album that skyrocketed Bay to fame with hits such as “Hold Back the River” and “Let It Go”.
Needless to say, we know that this is a tour that’s going to be worth the wait and there are still some shows that have tickets available. Even if you are in a city with a sold out show, Bay wants to make sure you get the chance to get tickets at a reasonable price if someone can’t go. To check for tickets at sold-out dates, check out this link to tickets that Bay has partnered with to give you a fair chance at tickets.
The tour kicks off on March 3rd in Nashville, TN and wraps up in the UK in August there is no reason to miss this tour and an artist that will only grow larger in time. So what are you waiting for! We know you are “Craving” these tickets.
